Here are the latest details on Parade prep and Parade day:
Parade Prep:
We will be decorating one car. Several of us have either Alameda Small Dog deco or July 4th themed deco which we will combine and come up with something fun for the car. Someone suggested attaching ears, nose, and tail to the car so it looks like a dog. So the deco is kind of open at this point! Bring ideas!
If you can help out with this, please show up Friday, at 867 Oak Street, rear house around 4 pm. We will go until the car is parade ready! We anticipate it taking 3 -4 hours. Just pitch in when and for however long you can! (If possible bring scissors, heavy twine, cardboard, tape or any other basic craft supply you think might be helpful....we never know exactly what we will need and it's nice to have extra's.)
**Dog Bone Alley is donating dog treats again as parade handouts. We need small plastic bags and ties to bag the treats in!! Please let us know if you can get these!
867 Oak Street is on Oak between Clinton Ave and Otis. It is a rear cottage behind a large Victorian house which is 869 Oak Street. Park on Oak and just walk down the driveway. You'll see a blue Rav 4 parked at the end. That is us!
Light Refreshments will be provided! If you need more info, call Carrie 510.332.7481.
Parade Day:
We will all need to be at our parade line up spot by 8 am on saturday morning. We are entry space #51, on Lincoln Ave. between Willow and Walnut. The parade starts promptly at 10 am and since we are near the front this year, plan on starting out right at 10. Please be on time.
Some of us can leave from 867 Oak Street, which is where the parade vehicle will be parked, but some of us may have to meet at the line up spot since we are only one vehicle this year. (The car will fit 5 people and their dogs.)
Please go to the parade website to get details on detours (lots of the city is blocked off for this event), the parade map, directions, etc.:

More details will be posted, as necessary, in the next several days. Send us an email if you want to join in! Walkers and their dogs can be accepted at the "last minute", but try and let us know if you are planning to be there. Email or call.

Thanks and we will see you soon!

It is that time again and we are entered into the 4th of July Parade again this year. Please let us know if you are interested in participating this year. Last year as you may recall we went "all out", and put together a fantastic float...we won third place in the float category!
